"I was born, raised and went to school in Wisconsin. Growing up, my extended family operated several restaurants, a hotel, and several associated businesses which I worked at in various capacities throughout my youth. In college, I double-majored in politics and government and history, and even added a minor in mathematics, graduating in 4 years at Ripon College in Wisconsin. I graduated with straight A's, and number one in my class."
"I chose the University of Wisconsin for law school, where I graduated in 1982. While in law school, I had the fascinating experience of interning for Justice Day of the Wisconsin Supreme Court during my third year. My work for Justice Day included appellate file reviews, legal research, and preparing draft statements of facts and portions of decisions."
"I was recruited out of law school by Lionel Sawyer & Collins and practiced law there for 32 years until the firm closed in December 2014. I was a partner in their Litigation Department and labor and employment and alternative dispute resolution practice groups."
"It is my goal in every case to understand the needs and objectives of my client and to help resolve the dispute in the most effective and efficient way possible. I am grateful that I have been applauded by my clients and recognized by my peers for many years of excellence in these efforts."
